Feilchenfeld-Lewin correspondence. 1892-1939.

Letters from Rabbi Zev (Wolf) Feilchenfeld in Posen to a number of people, mostly to Rabbi Louis Lewin, over a course of years and in different cities. The letters include cases in the bet din of Posen, research questions on Feilchenfeld's family, etc. There are also some historical notes by Lewin, including a page apparently misplaced from another collection dealing with the history of Krotoschin. There is also a form of a semikhah certificate (1939) from Louis Lewin, then rabbi in Breslau, to Rabbi Chaim Feilchenfeld, who was perhaps a grandson of Rabbi Zev (Wolf) Feilchenfeld (uncertain), attesting to the fact that Rabbi Chaim studied under Rabbi Ezriel Hildesheimer and was ordained by him, and that he also studied under Lewin. Also a letter from Hermann Feilchenfeld of Berlin to Lewin.
